Medicine Cabinet Essential: Rose Ointment

Rose ointment has become my new favorite go to. Especially as we move into the colder, dryer months this ointment can keep dry, cracked hands at bay. I love putting it on before bed over cracked knuckles. Rose Ointment contains several great essential oils.

Here’s what they do:

 

Rosewood: antibacterial, antiviral, antiparasitic, antifungal, stimulant, improves skin elasticity. Great for fungal infections/candida, skin conditions like eczema/psoriasis

Palmarosa: antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, supports heart and nervous system, stimulates new skin cell growth, regulates sebum production in skin. Can be used for fungal infections/candida, cardiovascular/circulatory diseases, digestive problems, skin problems like acne, eczema

Patchouli: relaxant, digestive aid that combats nausea, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, prevents wrinkles and chapped skin, relieves itching. Assists hypertension, skin conditions like eczema and acne, fluid retention, Listeria infection.

Myrrh: powerful antioxidant, antitumoral, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, antiparasitic, analgesic/anesthetic. Helps diabetes, cancer, hepatitis, fungal infections like Candida, ringworm, eczema, tooth/gum infections, skin conditions like chapped, cracked skin, wrinkles, stretch marks.

Carrot seed: antiparastic, antiseptic, depurative diuretic, vasodilatory. Good for skin conditions like eczema, oily skin, psoriasis, wrinkles, water retention, liver problems

Melaleuca: powerful antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, antiparasitic, anti-inflammatory action. Great for fungal infections like Candida, ringworm, sinus/lung infections, tooth/gum disease, water retention/hypertension, skin conditions like acne and sores.

Rose: antiinflammatory, relaxant, reduces scarring, antiulcer. Helps with hypertension, anxiety, viral infections (herpes simplex), skin conditions (scarring, wrinkles), ulcers
